Standard and oil grooved bushings interchange throughout our entire reamer and form tool line. Oil grooved bushings allow for coolant to be flushed through the barrel while chambering.
High speed steel tools larger than 20 cal are threaded on the end and use a screw to hold the bushing on. Carbide tools and high speed steel tools from 17 to 20 cal use a clip to secure the bushing on the tool. 6mm and under with oil grooved bushings will also have the clip (#0 Journals-see chart below)
Our standard bushings will interchange with most tools available on the market. All of our bushings are .500” in length. Oil grooved bushings will require tools with a smaller journal size than tools made for smooth bushings. (internal diameter of the bushings can be found in parenthesis on the chart below)
Bushing adapters available to allow larger bushings to fit on smaller tooling when needed.
